    This product contains a code plugin, complete with pre-built binaries and all its source code that integrates with Unreal Engine, which can be installed to an engine version of your choice then enabled on a per-project basis.

CM Labs’ Vortex Studio plugin for Unreal Engine enables users to conduct multi-body dynamics simulations within Unreal Engine using Vortex Studio, thereby harnessing its advanced simulation framework.


By integrating Vortex Studio with Unreal, users can:

  • Simulate advanced multi-body dynamics mechanisms in an Unreal level.
  • Expose simulation parameters to Unreal blueprints (get/set) and easily incorporate them into the Unreal level.
  • Automatically detect landscape components created in Unreal around a simulated vehicle.
  • Provide position and orientation of each simulated body to Unreal Engine, along with parameters and outputs that ensure smooth gameplay through accurate synchronization and realistic movements.
  • Manage external hardware devices, such as motion platforms or CANopen compliant devices, to control vehicles and enhance simulations.
  • Utilize any diggable or deformable terrain created in Vortex Studio within the Unreal Editor and packaged game, maintaining the same degree of fidelity expected from Vortex Studio's physics-based soil simulation.
