Unreal Engine Innovation Heads to I/ITSEC 2026

ORLANDO, FL

I/ITSEC 2026

30 November–3 December, 2026

Join Epic Games at I/ITSEC 2026

AI is changing how simulation gets built. Real-world data is changing what it can represent. Unreal Engine 5.8 brings both together.

The Unreal Engine team is returning to the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training event, joining our long-time partner Cesium at booth #271.

Come find us there to explore the latest capabilities in Cesium for Unreal, Cesium’s geospatial plugin for UE—enabling Gaussian splatting, vector tiles, and stylization with real-world 3D data via Cesium ion. We’ll also showcase a Mesh Terrain demo, Procedural Content Generation use cases, and explore Unreal MCP and AI-assisted application development, plus much more.

Live demonstrations

Visit Epic and Cesium at booth #271 to check out some of the latest applications we’ve been working on for modeling, simulation, and training.

Cesium demos

Cesium will showcase its latest geospatial advancements at I/ITSEC this year, including vector tile support, enhanced stylization and visualization, 3D Gaussian Splatting with Levels of Detail (LODs) in Unreal Engine, improved rendering performance, and updates to Cesium ion for geospatial data workflows.

Epic demos

Unreal Engine 5.8: Mesh Terrain
Join the Unreal Engine Simulation team to explore the next generation of world building with Unreal Engine 5.8's Mesh Terrain, currently in Experimental. See how this innovative 3D terrain system breaks free from traditional heightmap limitations, enabling complex environments with cliffs, tunnels, and overhangs while introducing flexible, non-destructive workflows for large-scale simulation and training.
Unreal MCP
Unreal MCP is an embedded Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Unreal Engine that enables AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, and the MCP Inspector to directly drive and control the Unreal Editor. Catch up with us on what you can now do with MCP and AI-assisted workflows in Unreal Engine.
AI co-developed applications
See two applications built using AI-assisted development: an interactive 3D geospatial explorer with a feature-rich user interface, and a GPU-accelerated LiDAR sensor simulator.

Procedural Content Generation (PCG) showcase
Explore how the PCG framework in Unreal Engine automated the creation and placement of world assets in the expansive environments featured in Epic’s Electric Dreams demo and  City Sample.

A big year for Unreal Engine in Simulation

A lot has happened since the last I/ITSEC. Here's a roundup of the big developments you might have missed.

Talented teams from across the simulation industry are using Unreal Engine’s powerful feature set for everything from digital twins and robotics training to autonomous vehicle testing and next-gen flight simulators. Take a look at some of those exciting recent innovations in our simulation sizzle reel.
Unreal Engine is becoming the go-to platform for robotics teams—not just as a simulator, but as a synthetic data factory powering the next generation of robotics systems. Explore how UE5 is reshaping how robots learn to see, move, and act in the real world.
Released as a first-party, Experimental plugin in Unreal Engine 5.8, Unreal MCP provides an official, Epic-supported way to connect your favorite agentic LLM tools directly to Unreal Engine.

Built on the open MCP standard, it enables agents to take action in your projects using the capabilities exposed by each editor—so you can use compatible agentic coding tools or build your own integrations, skills, and workflows around how you create. Watch this video to explore what Unreal MCP is and what it does.
AI-assisted workflows are transforming the way we develop software, and Unreal Engine development is no exception! Stop by our booth to meet our technical team and discover how to integrate these workflows into your development process.

Check out who’s at I/ITSEC 2026

Last year on the I/ITSEC showfloor, over 100 companies showcased projects built on Unreal Engine and Epic ecosystem tools. We expect even more than that to participate in this year’s event. Take a look at the showfloor map below to see which customers and partners  will have a booth.
