An easy to use Tropical Ocean Blueprint that has crashing waves that flow up onto the shoreline. Includes caustics, simple water motion and underwater effects.


  1. Drop the BP_WaterShader into your level scale to the size you wish.
  2. Toggle the spawning waves feature, add your islands and trace your islands with the splines.
  3. Sit back and watch as your beach comes to life with waves!

  • Added waterline support for underwater effect
  • Distance fields are no longer required and defaulted off in favor for landscape height texture (can still use distance field solution)
  • Height lerp added to foam for more realistic transitions
  • Tessellation removed completely in favor for new system that uses LODs
  • Works on Unreal Engine 5
  • Distance swap on textures with close to camera for better scaling of water
  • Slight overhaul of ocean shader
