This Cuttable Spline System is a content rich, lower cost entry into rope simulations. It was designed to be used sparingly. Example uses include: physics puzzles, traps and decorations.
In engine solution. No third party plugins or software needed - no PhysX SDK required.
This content is recommended for medium to high end computers (it is performance intensive). Due to numerous physics calculations it is not suitable for low end gaming platforms.
Performance guideline for max simultaneous on screen instances (Only approximate - varies based on hardware):
Please do not use for game mechanics which require substantial length or many concurrent instances.
Previous engine versions available due to request (starting from 4.24 onwards), however only the latest engine version will receive new free content and improvements. Please use latest engine version.
Not intended for use simulating chains
This cuttable spline system is its own blueprint actor and cannot be attached to another actor. It shouldn't be used to add ropes to character blueprints.
Blueprints are not Nativized.
