The Provisional Capital Memorial Hall is a museum that commemorates the history of Busan, which was the temporary capital during the Korean War.

The Provisional Capital Memorial Hall was the Gyeongsangnam-do governor’s residence, completed on Aug. 10, 1926. During Korean War, it was used as the Presidential Residence as Busan became the provisional capital.[1950~1953]

It is a two-story mixed Western- and Japanese-style house built on August 10, 1926 as the residence of the governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, and has been used as the presidential residence for about three years since August 1950, and is a historical place that commanded the Korean War.

It consists of two buildings, the presidential residence and the exhibition hall, and serves as a history education institution to understand the tragedy of war through programs such as the historicity of the building itself, various relics to look at the temporary capital Busan, and evacuation life experiences.

The presidential residence was designated as Historic relics No. 546 in November 2018.
