Cinematic Lens Flares is a post process material based lens flare implementation for high quality cinematic rendering or high end visual targets.

Paired with the included control Blueprint, Cinematic Lens Flares offers a large amount of customization to emulate three main lens flare effects, Lens Glints, Lens Ghosts and a Lens Halo. Alongside the included BP controlled post process material you also get a material instance based version if that is your preferred method of configuring the system with 5 included example presets.

Created with HLSL, Cinematic Lens Flares offers an option for high end rendered cinematics for some beautiful lens effects.

This implementation is designed to work in combination with convolution bloom for the best visual look.

As this is aimed at offline rendering at the moment the performance cost can be high due to the number of high quality bokeh blur going on in the shader, so at this time this system will not work for real-time applications.

Cinematic Lens Flares work with both rasterised rendering like Lumen as well as Unreal's Path Tracer, due the fact it is post process material based, it may not be compatible with other post process based assets / plugins.
