Need more simple controls? Are you creating a game where you handling your camera by the player isn't necessary and want to make easier to use controls? Use this package with fully automatic camera turning and slope adjustment.


The package includes two examples characters:

  • Rolling Ball
  • 3rd Person


This package is especially perfect for your rolling ball game. Rolling ball games are mostly simple of nature and probably for e.g. mobile games. You don't want the player to be needing to rotate the camera itself. Therefore you can use this template.


It also works ok with a third person character.

Features:

  •  Automatic Spring Arm Function Library - Including the functions required for the implementation of the automatic camera

  • The Rolling Ball has many extra functionalities such as:
  • Moving Ball sound based on velocity.
  • Impact sound based on impact normal.
  • Configured for proper torque handling with the automatic spring arm.
  • A grounded check for jumping.

Supported Development Platforms:

Windows: Yes

Not tested with other platforms. It is assumed that it works fine on all platforms.

Documentation: Example maps and comments in the blueprints. The only thing to be configured is the camera height to your liking. You can call the function from anywhere, however I advise to use the example character due to the complex dependencies in the character settings. Use the example characters as a base.

Engine version: Only tested on 2.26.
