If your having trouble with Plugin's & code here are some Blueprint examples of how to use your gamepad controller to navigate through your menus. This collection of gamepad controlled menus is very basic & easy to understand with comment boxes around nodes to explain their use. From this template you will be able to construct your own gamepad controlled menus, easy peasy. A How Does This Work widget walks you through the Right Joystick menu & how it all comes together for ease of use. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to improve this template

Technical Details


  • Intro Menu is a left click standard widget
  • HowDoesThisWork Menu to explain how it all works
  • Right joystick Menu, controlled by the Gamepad Right Joystick - This menu is the best laid out for ease of understanding on how this system works
  • Left joystick Menu, controlled by the Gamepad Left Joystick
  • D-Pad Menu, controlled by the Gamepad D-Pad
  • Button Menu, controlled by the Gamepad R1, L1, R2, L2 Buttons
  • Pause Exit Menu, simple pause menu for the demo game
