    Engine Plugin
This product contains a code plugin, complete with pre-built binaries and all its source code that integrates with Unreal Engine, which can be installed to an engine version of your choice then enabled on a per-project basis.

A viewer/debugger that allows the user to visualize light maps and light map UVs for actors in a level in the editor.

The motivation behind this tool is to make it easier to determine where the problem lies if there are what appears to be lighting artifacts on static actors in a scene. We found that there was not really an easy way to quickly find the correct light map for an actor in a level, as well as visualize the light map UVs of the actor.

Technical Details

  • View the light map for the selected actor in a 2D viewport (similar to the texture editor)
  • Visualize the light map UVs of an actor
  • Pan and scale to fit the light map UVs of the actor overlayed on the light map texture
  • View the light map projected onto the static mesh in a 3D viewport (similar to the static mesh editor)
  • Set/override the light map resolution on the static mesh, level static mesh component or asset (blueprint) static mesh component
  • Shortcut to edit the static mesh in question
  • Shortcut to edit the asset/blueprint of the actor in question
