VERSION 2 has been released! - ModMat Surface v2 is a complete overhaul of the original ModMat Surface. Instead of the old approach (a few beefy master materials that do anything and everything) version 2 introduces a more modular approach by allowing you to quickly create master materials that only do what you require them to.

ModMat Surface is an Ozone Engine module that allows you to create master materials quickly and efficiently. Using the 82 material functions provided, creating a material is now like playing with building blocks. If you want to be able to tint the color of your texture, simply drop a tint node into the graph. If you want to scale or tile your UVs, throw a transform node in there. If you really want to unlock an array of different controls for any of your PBR needs, just add one of our presets (with all the parameters you need built in) to your material and enjoy.

Some of the main features include:

  • Use any of the 82 functions and presets to build a completely custom master material or use them to build additional presets of your own
  • Functions are broken down into several categories so they can be found and utilized more easily
  • Dozens of ready-to-go, preconfigured master materials, material instances, and preset material functions are included to help jumpstart your project
