  • Easy plug and play setup in UMG:

1. Create a new/open an existing widget blueprint.

2. Find the palette panel and scroll to “User Created”.

3. Drag and drop the receiver/instrument widget into the Designer Tab viewport or into the hierarchy panel.

4. With the receiver/instrument selected, find the details panel and search for “Receiver/Instrument Settings”.

5. Customize the receiver/instrument settings for your project.

Important/Additional Notes:

  • The ADF Navigation pack is designed for UMG UI display.
  • All instruments and receiver are operated from the class type pawn reference which is set from the “GetOwningPlayerPawn” function. The pawn reference is used to get the “GetActorRotation” and “GetActorLocation” functions for the instruments and “GetActorLocation” function for the receiver.
  • The instrument (RMI, RBI-Mov, and RBI-Fix) must be paired to a receiver in order to operate.
  • Since the receiver widget retrieves data, about the navigation aid facility, from a data table asset, the facility must be static in the world location (X,Y,Z).
