Studio Bros provides product visualization and entertainment video production based on Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5) and other real-time renderers, as well as construction and implementation support for real-time computer graphics production flow for B2B.

They have obtained certification from Epic Games as an Unreal Authorized Instructor, Authorized Content Partner, and Virtual Production Partner. Aximmetry’s virtual production platform provides end-to-end, real-time 3D graphics and virtual studio solutions for the broadcast and entertainment industries. At NAB, they’ll present a live, tracked virtual studio and AR demo with greenscreen, using its new 3D clean plate feature to achieve perfect keying results.

Aximmetry will be showing a tracked green screen and AR demo using the Aximmetry virtual production platform with Unreal Engine integration. Aximmetry’s virtual set was created in Unreal Engine.

Brainstorm | Booth SL4097

Brainstorm will be at booth SL4097 where they will introduce Suite 6 of their product range, including InfinitySet—a virtual production, XR, AR, and real-time graphics solution that leverages Unreal Engine in combination with Brainstom's own render engine. The main demo will showcase how virtual reality can be coupled with advanced on-air, data-driven graphics, and real scenarios, all with just one workstation.

At booth SL2238, Chyron will showcase their implementation of Unreal Engine 5.3.2 (VSAR 2.0) featuring a set of plugin-type tools that includes HTML 5 API control; HTML 5 chroma key control; HTML 5 virtual camera control; MOS integration for full project control (including virtual camera); I/O management; tracking data; and set tools that include turnkey Blueprints, virtual camera actors, billboards, shadow/reflection planes, parametric geometries, and more.

During the demo, everything related to control will be delivered from Chyron's proprietary applications, highlighting that VSAR allows for almost undetectable integration by simply adding Blueprints and functions for control/MOS integration, avoiding the need to recreate Blueprints or rebuild projects.

The demo will be 100% trackless, focusing on the workflow and integration of VSAR with other Chyron solutions to form a complete production ecosystem.

RT Software Ltd | Booth SL5088

New for NAB 2024, RT Software has released a significant feature to enhance its Swift Studio solution for virtual studios and augmented reality graphics. Unreal Engine projects were already supported within the Swift environment, however it is now possible to link Unreal Engine’s dynamic fields into those in Swift’s graphics, allowing for incredible versatility and flexibility when it comes to triggering graphics to air. This gives an operator the ability to interact with Unreal Engine’s graphics live on air through their familiar Swift Live browser interface.

By using the same Swift solution for all areas of a broadcast facility, irrespective of whether Unreal Engine is being used, it is possible to avoid the need for retraining on specific events while still retaining the option to include the high-quality graphics from Unreal Engine as and when required. RT Software’s approach enables a mix-and-match approach to on air graphics.

The most powerful part of the solution is that Unreal Engine graphics can be dynamically updated through the Swift Live interface when they go to air. Dynamic aspects could include anything from onscreen text fields to lighting colors—in fact, anything you might want to change when a graphic goes to air. This capability could be used to change a virtual studio’s lighting to match a winning team’s colors, for example.

The entire process starts with the Swift CG+ editor, when the Unreal Engine’s Blueprints (their dynamic fields) are mapped to relevant fields in the Swift graphic. Once the graphic has been distributed to the renderer, the gallery operator can call up each graphic via their Swift Live browser interface, create a playlist, modify values, preview, and trigger to air at the right moment.
