Steps to register
1. First, create your free Unreal Online Learning account. Here are some helpful instructions for creating it.2. Next, sign up for the challenge here by 11:59 PM EDT on October 11, 2021. Don’t forget to fill in your contact details for us to send you your SWAG when you complete the challenge.
3. After registering, you’ll be notified via email when the challenge officially starts on October 13. Make sure you do not start the courses prior to this start date and be sure to complete all of the courses by 11:59 PM EDT on November 3, 2021.
Your Journey to Winning Prizes
1. First: Become a Blueprint Journeyman- Requirements: Complete the Blueprint Essential Concepts course.
- What you’ll learn: What Blueprints are, how to create and work with them, and about some of the different types available.
- What you’ll earn: In addition to the course badge, you’ll earn the official exclusive Journeyman badge.
- Requirements: Complete the Unreal Editor Fundamentals and the Blueprint Kickstart courses.
- What you’ll learn: The key workflows required to leverage Actors and plenty of tips, tricks, and advice to build out your first Blueprint project.
- What you’ll earn: In addition to the individual course badges, you’ll earn the exclusive Blueprint Ninja badge.
- Requirements: Complete the Blueprint Runtime Saving and Loading and the Blueprints and Gameplay for Game Designers courses.
- What you’ll learn: How to create a Save Game system that enables players to save their progress and load it later; and how to design games with everything from player actions like sprinting and crouching to creating sound effects.
- What you’ll earn: In addition to the individual course badges, you’ll earn the exclusive—and elusive—Blueprint Master badge.
