Although the Unreal Engine community produces a lot of learning material, UE educators face a challenge. While individual pieces of content are certainly useful for creating a successful learning program, they still leave the educator with the task of putting the right courses in the right order.
This is where Unreal Academy comes in. Built especially for educators, UA brings together elements for instructors—materials they can use to create an engaging, effective curriculum for their chosen audience.
What is Unreal Academy?
Unreal Academy is Epic Games’ learning environment for the education and training community. This curated space highlights the most relevant material for post-secondary and industry educators, whether in production or in the classroom. All resources are free for training and academic partners.
In Unreal Academy you’ll find the Post Secondary Library, which includes:
A large library of courses for the essentials of game development, media production, programming, and more.
Deep-dive courses for advanced users, on a number of features and workflows.
Curated curriculum, learning paths, industry-focused skill sets, classroom resources, and special events.
Resources for the future
Unreal Academy is a living library—what we have today is just the start. Epic will continue to add resources to keep pace with new features and use cases, and to help our community grow their educational efforts.
