We’re excited to announce that our Unreal Engine Education Team is launching a new beginner course that will be available on YouTube as well as the Epic Developer Community and the Unreal Academy platform. Take your first steps towards game development with our 2.5D Game Course.

Designed for beginners and taught by industry expert Thiago Carneio, this comprehensive course will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to develop a game in Unreal Engine. This course is currently available in English only.

The 2.5D Game Course comprises seven mini-courses and covers key topics to get started with UE using 2D assets and plugins:
  1. Getting Started
  2. Project Setup
  3. Landscape Basics 
  4. Landscape Advanced Concepts
  5. World Building
  6. Gameplay
  7. Finishing Touches 
During the course, you’ll learn the foundational skills to develop a game—including engine navigation, Blueprint integration, plugin management, working with materials, and world building.

By the end, you’ll be ready to create your own experiences from start to finish.

All you need is a passion for gaming to take this course. Creativity and problem-solving skills are also a plus. Ready to learn? Take the first steps today.
