Who’s eligible for an Epic MegaGrant?

Epic MegaGrants are investments Epic Games makes to sponsor the development of exciting projects that may not otherwise have enough funding to fully realize. They’re specifically meant for smaller teams, solo developers, and innovators who are using our technology to bring bold, challenging, and insanely creative dreams to life.

Indie games

We’re called Epic Games for a reason: we’ve been obsessed with bringing incredible games to life since day one. If you’re a small or solo dev team working on a promising game in Unreal Engine and need a hand to get it to your next milestone, we’ll do our best to help you out.

UEFN experiences

If you’re ready to pioneer the next generation of Fortnite experiences, we’re here to help. Whether you’re a dev team, an established game studio, a Fortnite Creative team, or just have a really good idea you think Fortnite players will dig, then we want to hear about it.

Moving from another engine

We know switching engines is a big investment of time, resources, and money, especially for small teams. If you have a promising concept partially developed in another engine and are interested in switching to Unreal Engine, we reserve a proportion of MegaGrants that might be able to help with your transition.

Other projects

Creating open source tools or enhancing the capabilities of open source software using Unreal Engine? Extending a film, show, or animation into a multi-platform immersive experience? We’re always open to exciting projects that advance the real-time 3D space or make life better for the 3D community.
