XCOM 2, SFV and Gears of War 4 Highlight Unreal Engine Nominees at This Year’s D.I.C.E. Awards

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the video game industry’s professional trade organization representing over 30,000 development and creative members, recently announced its nominees for the 20th annual D.I.C.E. Awards.

Among the nominees are diverse Unreal Engine-powered titles that helped define the year in gaming for 2016 including Firaxis’ XCOM 2 (Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year), Giant Squid’s ABZÛ (Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition), The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 (Action Game of the Year) and Capcom’s Street Fighter V (Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Fighting Game of the Year).

Additional critically-acclaimed Unreal Engine nominees at the 2017 D.I.C.E. Awards include The Odd Gentlemen’s King’s Quest: The Complete Collection (Adventure Game of the Year) and Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Xrd - Revelator (Fighting Game of the Year).

The D.I.C.E. Awards (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) serve to recognize excellence and quality among peers currently working in games. The award ceremony will take place on the close of the three-day D.I.C.E. Summit, on the evening of Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
