Train Jam kicks off on Thursday, March 10, and we're glad to both sponsor and participate! Leaving from Chicago on Thursday, developers will be making games (and connections) on the train for 52 hours and coming to a stop near San Francisco on Saturday, March 12 in time for the annual Game Developers Conference.
Michael Noland and I will be there bearing swag, a few USB drives with the engine and documentation, buckets of game jam enthusiasm and our wildest ideas! We're excited for the opportunity to try new mechanics out and put our creativity to work. Jamming on the train with us? Come say "Hi!"
If you're planning on using Unreal Engine while participating in the Train Jam, remember that the train passes through areas that might have limited internet access. Make sure to download the engine, any sample projects you want to use for inspiration and documentation for offline use before you head out.
If you're not travelling to GDC by train but will still be at the show, you can check out the Train Jam games at their booth on the third floor of Moscone's West Hall and swing by the Unreal Engine booth, South #1024.
