Unreal Academy is a training event for creatives, designers, and visualization specialists in the architectural visualization, automotive & transportation, film & television, and other non-games fields who are seeking to tap into the potential of using Unreal Engine’s real-time technology.

Sol Rogers

Sol Rogers is CEO and Founder of REWIND, a leading immersive solutions company with a proven track record in building scalable immersive tools and software. Sol is the Chair of the BAFTA Immersive Entertainment Advisory Group and the Chair of IMMERSE UK, working to ensure that the UK becomes the global leader in immersive technologies. As a leading figure in the industry, Sol is also an advisor to many global awards and conferences. 

Samantha Anderson

Associate, Interactive Visualization
SHoP
Samantha Anderson is an Associate at SHoP Architects with a focus in Interactive Visualization. She works with the design team to visualize projects through renderings, animations, and virtual reality experiences. She’s been involved in projects at all design phases including SITE Santa Fe, Syracuse National Veterans Resource Center, and the US Embassy in Bangkok. Samantha has been an advocate for the use of XR and its integration to better the design process at SHoP. 

John Murphy

As a Creative Director for BBC Sport John leads on the branding, visual graphics and graphical innovation for the department. His role crosses all areas of BBC Sport including; Football, Olympics, World Cup, Wimbledon and many more. John has placed a large importance in VR and AR being used to innovate and helping to create a unique viewing experience.

Tom Box

Tom Box is co-founder and joint managing director of Blue Zoo Animation. Over the last 19 years, the studio has grown to become the biggest dedicated CG animation studio in the UK, picking up a few BAFTAs along the way. Tom has been the driving force behind the studio's continuous exploration of new technology, experimenting with cutting-edge tools to see how they can improve animation workflows and facilitate artists creativity.

Emma Fowler

Senior Associate

After graduating from New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Emma joined SHoP where she has become central to the creative development and realization of spaces adapted to promote innovation and collaboration. Her work in that area includes defining the fit, finish, and function of interiors for tech company offices, incubators, and innovation spaces, and is informed by a broad understanding of best-practices in creating interiors for residential, educational, and hospitality projects.

Mohen Leo

VFX Supervisor
ILMxLAB
Mohen Leo has worked for many years in the visual effects industry, first as a digital artist and later as a visual effects supervisor. From 2009-2012, Leo worked at ILM Singapore overseeing the expansion of ILM’s first Asian studio. Following that, he joined ILM London as visual effects supervisor on “Ant-Man”, “The Martian”, “Deepwater Horizon” and, most recently, “Rogue One”, for which Leo received Academy Award and BAFTA nominations. In 2017 Leo became Director of Experience Development for ILMxLAB.

Marc Petit

As General Manager of the Enterprise business, Marc oversees growth of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine business into markets outside of game development. Prior to joining Epic Games in mid-2016, Marc was a partner and Entrepreneur-In-Residence at XPND Capital, a Montreal-based investment fund where he co-founded and launched Taxelco, a sustainable urban transportation company. Between 2002 and 2013, Marc ran Autodesk’s Media & Entertainment business unit.

Simon Jones

Epic Games
Simon has over two decades of experience within the video games industry, and has spent the last four years focusing on visualisation solutions within the automotive, industrial and aviation sectors. As a seasoned professional he joined Epic Games at the end of 2015 and now leads the European Enterprise division, focusing on building a strong Unreal Engine presence within key verticals, as well as ensuring that the established client base receives the absolute best in customer support.
