Sergey Galyonkin, Epic's director of publishing strategy and founder of Steam Spy, will deliver the event’s featured keynote, “State of the Steam Marketplace,” at 2PM ET on Wednesday, April 18. Steam, the biggest PC gaming platform and de facto marketplace for many game developers, has undergone tremendous change. This session will talk through Steam's recent changes and their impact on games sales: the rise of China, the death of discoverability, the influx of low-quality titles, devs trying to outplay the algorithms, review bombing and other pleasant surprises. Also covered will be pricing strategies, best practices for launching on Steam, and survival tips for indie developers.

The Unreal Theater will offer presentations on getting into the industry, educational approaches to teaching Unreal Engine for the real-time technology market, building AI and much more. A complete schedule is available online

The Epic Games booth on the expo floor will offer hands-on gameplay of Fortnite, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Golem Gates and Unreal Engine tools demonstrations.

Although online registration for ECGC 2018 has closed, anyone interested in attending the show can register at the door.

ECGC attendees and members of the development community are also invited to attend the ECGC Closing Social & Unreal Engine Meetup from 7-10pm on Thursday, April 19 at Solas in downtown Raleigh. Details are available at the Raleigh Unreal Engine Developers page.
