With conference season in full swing, Epic Games is pleased to announce their participation at numerous upcoming games industry and technology conferences in North America and Europe.
To kick things off, Epic will bring their critically-acclaimed arcade VR shooter Robo Recall to the ninth annual East Coast Game Conference from April 18-20 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Epic will also demonstrate Unreal Engine tools on the show floor and host a range of talks in the Unreal Theater. Read more right here.
Following ECGC, Epic will head to the NAB Show (by the National Association of Broadcasters) running from April 22-27 in Las Vegas. The event highlights the latest and brightest in the broadcast industry, focusing on the convergence of media, entertainment and technology. The team, along with The Future Group and House of Moves, will showcase how Unreal Engine is helping to break new ground in episodic entertainment production and delivery at Epic’s first Unreal Engine NAB press conference (April 24, 4-5PM, Room N239, Las Vegas Convention Center).
Epic will then head over to Stuttgart, Germany for FMX from May 2-5. The event brings together visionaries from various digital entertainment industries, including animation, effects, games and automotive. Epic Games CTO Kim Libreri will co-host a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of the groundbreaking real-time rendered short film, The Human Race. The film made its debut during Epic’s show-stopping keynote at GDC 2017, and The Mill and Epic will offer an in-depth look at the technology that helped bring the film to life. The Unreal Engine team will then head to San Jose, California for NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) where GM of Unreal Engine Enterprise Marc Petit will host a VR panel featuring speakers from NASA, Opaque Space, McLaren and Theia. Epic will be on the show floor to demo the latest photorealistic content developed within the engine, as well as give a three-hour training session as part of GTC’s VR Lab.
Lastly, five Unreal Engine-powered games will be playable during this year’s Nordic Game 2017 from May 17-19. Highlighting Unreal Engine’s diverse portfolio of games, attendees will be able to get their hands on several upcoming titles, including ECHO by Ultra Ultra, Deep Rock Galactic by Ghostship Games, Little Nightmares by Tarsier, Moons of Madness by Rock Pocket and Oceanhorn 2 by Cornfox and Bros. Additionally, David Skarin of The Bearded Ladies will announce a new Unreal Engine title his team is working on and discuss how smaller teams can use the engine to get ahead.
