STICS
STICS is a fantastic animated short inspired by Stick Salesman. It’s a story about a space explorer and his robot companion searching for paradise on an unknown planet, built in UE4. It’s always exciting to see non-game projects made with the engine. Check out the video for STICS here.
Ernest Gunther’s Interview on 80.lv
You may recognize Ernest’s work in our Academic Spotlight a few weeks back, and he’s back with a great “Secrets of Environmental Design in UE4” interview on 80.lv. Read about his approach to environmental design in contrast to level design and preferred tools of the trade.
Adventure on Clover Island
Another great project built on a short development cycle out of Futuregames in Stockholm, Adventure on Clover Island is a great looking third-person platformer with nods to both the Sonic Adventure and Ratchet and Clank series’. At the time of the project’s creation, the students had only about six months of exposure to Unreal Engine. Check out the video and keep an eye on Futuregames, as we’re sure to see more greatness out of that institution.
Don’t miss the Unreal Engine livestream every Thursday at 2PM ET at twitch.tv/unrealengine.
