Virtual spaces and the future of collaboration in AEC—The Pulse, episode one

August 12, 2020
We recently hosted the debut episode of The Pulse, a thought-provoking new video series of panel discussions and live Q&As exploring the latest thinking on interactive 3D technology across a range of industries.

Being able to work together while physically apart has never been more important for stakeholders and collaborators in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Virtual Spaces and the Future of Collaboration explores the many new ways the shift to real-time techniques is enabling collaborative workflows and bringing new efficiencies to the design process.

If you missed the live broadcast, you can watch the replay below.

In the episode, host David Basulto, Founder and Director of ArchDaily, is joined by speakers from KPF, Squint/Opera, and Epic Games to explore how real-time tools like Unreal Engine and Twinmotion can transform how you design and deliver.

The panel members discuss how collaboration using real-time tools opens up new creative possibilities and lowers the cost of design changes. They talk about the need to re-evaluate meaningful engagement with stakeholders, and they illustrate through their own projects how real-time environments enable multiple people to design and explore spaces together virtually. Finally, they hypothesize on the kind of impact collaborative virtual experiences will have in the future.

We hope it inspires you to try Twinmotion, which has a free unlimited-length trial, or Unreal Engine, which is free to download and use, and find out for yourself how real-time 3D can revolutionize your design workflows from initial concept to final build.
