We’re hardening Unreal Engine 4.13 for the full release towards the end of August and are excited to ship the first Preview build today. This release will give developers a sneak peek at what is to come and will allow us to gather early feedback on the build. New features include import/export updates for Sequencer, foliage editing and mesh painting in the VR Editor, numerous improvements and additions for animation and much, much more.
To download Preview 1 of 4.13, head over to the Library section of the launcher, select “Add Versions” and select “4.13 Preview 1” from the dropdown list.
We’ll be covering 4.13 in it’s entirety at a high level with Technical Director Mike Fricker via Twitch on Thursday, August 4th, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to find out all the details and ask your questions about the release.
To read up on more about 4.13 Preview 1 and discuss the release, head over to the forum post by Stephen Ellis and check out the current known issues in this build. As always, Preview releases are meant to serve as an early look at what’s coming next and should not be used for production development.
