Happy Wednesday, everybody! As we all know, it's time for another Marketplace content release. I'm particularly excited about this one because not only is it ten great new releases, but it's an awesome assortment of prototyping tools and starter kits for making an even wider array of games. Whether you're making a real-time strategy game, a role-playing game, or simply want to block out levels quickly and efficiently, we've got you covered! Have a look, because this really is a great release week.
Ever wanted to make your own role-playing game? Here's a great way to get started! The RPG Starter Kit comes with a Dungeon Builder Set with 35+ highly modular assets, a combat system, a UI\HUD system completely done in UMG, an inventory and loot system, character stats, a class system, sword combat animations, and a standard enemy utilizing behavior trees and the EQS system. Make your RPG dreams come true today, and check out the video!
The RTS Toolkit is everything you need to create your own real-time strategy game! It's also a great learning tool to help guide you through creating and using blueprints, interfaces, behavior trees, UI, and much more! It RTS camera controls, traditional RTS-style unit selection, 2 custom AI types, 2 custom Structure types, gatherable resources, a set of AI commands for everything from movement to gathering to behavior tree-based attacking, a robust collection of UI\HUD components for every selected unit, a traditional RTS minimap system, Fog of War, and Friendly\Hostile faction states built to allow for multiplayer functionality. This really is a terrific amount of content, and I recommend checking it out!.
Keep your player healthy with the Complete HealPack System! This is a series of Blueprint systems that contain everything you need to get health pack functionality in your game, including respawnable and intractable health packs, customizable mesh, FX, audio, HP restore value, respawn time, an animation flag, and a HUD system to represent the player's actual hitpoints. The Blueprints are fully commented to make the functionality easy to understand, and this can be used in your level without any coding necessary. Check out the video!
Environments \ Props:
Retro Office Environment is a beautiful interior space with 100+ PBR textured assets, master materials, spline actor wires and pipes. This is one of my favorite recent examples of seeing screenshots of something and thinking "Surely that's a photograph." But no, that's just what artists can do in the Unreal Engine. :) Check out the screenshots, they're beautiful!
SuperGrid Starter pack is an awesome way to rapidly and easily prototype levels with special materials and modular meshes built for speed and efficiency. The textures are auto-resized according to the object size instead of stretching, no texture deformation\spanning happens during runtime movement, rotation, and scaling that usually appears in World Grid materials, the grid material is fully customizable with the ability to set grid spacing in centimeters, it includes an introductory mini-game built with only SuperGrid assets to show you how you can use the pack, and it includes bonus assets such as sound effects, particle systems, volumetric materials, refraction materials, animated materials, Blueprints, and additional meshes. This really is an awesome release that'll really help anyone with prototyping their game. Check out the video!
Are your game's warehouses lonely and empty? Friend, your worries are now over. Dokyo's back with another set of props for everything a warehouse could ever desire! Cardboard boxes? Check! Fire extinguishers? You bet! Forklifts, pallets (loaded and unloaded), pump trucks, modular racks for designing shelving, safety signs, tall steps, and wheeled truck carts as well! All are set up with PBR materials and textures range from 1k to 4k. Check out the screenshots and fill your warehouses today!
Characters \ Animation:
T-Pose is back with another fully animated character! ROBO is a modular robot bad guy with swappable claw\buzzsaw hands and cannon arms that comes with 54 high-quality animations for melee combat, ranged combat, and special moves, and he can also strafe and take cover behind walls. If your game needs evil robots that can cover a wide range of enemy types with high quality animations and modularity, give this one a look. It's a very clever approach to designing a modular character you can get a lit of variety out of in only one package. Check out the video!
