Happy Thursday, everyone! We've got a great new Marketplace content release for you. Whether you're looking for secret agents, adorable animals, desert environments, character voices, or procedural stairs, we've got it! Come on in and have a look.
Quick note: The Marketplace will be briefly offline for maintenance today (Thursday, May 28) between 4pm and 6pm EST.
Impromptu Games is back with more super-useful, time-saving procedural content! This time he's brought Impromptu Procedural Stairs, a procedural Blueprint that lets you create detailed, highly customizable linear staircases in seconds using instanced meshes. You can set the perfect dimensions, number of steps, and step dimensions of any spcae in seconds, use your own meshes or the included meshes, specify any numbe rof meshes to be selected at random per step to break up visual repetition, optionally tile steps horizontally or build walls underneath your staircases with tiling block and wedge meshes, and everything is commented and easy to learn from and modify. Check out the video to see it in action!
Are you in need of a complete, good-looking menu system for your game? You're in luck! Quality Game Settings Menu features many options your players can use to tweak their preferences, and a game tab where you can create and add your own project-specific settings. Among the tweakable settings are audio control with separate channels (Master, Music, Voice, Effect, Ambient), visual quality settings (Antialiasing, Motion blur, Texture Quality, View distance, etc), a field of vew slider, foliage view distance and cull distance volumes, resolution and screen mode (Fullscreen, Windowed, Fullscreen Borderless), mouse sensitivity, and much more. Check out the video to see its full set of features!
Environments and Props:
I'm sure we've all found ourselves idly daydreaming about semi-arid desert environments. Well, today, your daydreams are coming true! Anıl İşbilir has created a 32x32km landscape with vegetation painted on 31 static meshes, 2 skeletal meshes with animation, 2 particle systems (dusty wind and heat haze), matinee animation with a simple level Blueprint, as well as road meshes, barriers, and the utility pole. Check out the video!
Survival games are quite popular these days, and PolyPixel is here to help you develop yours! The Survival Prop Pack contains 40 props that can be used to start any type of survival game, be it zombie, survival horror, FPS horror, or other similar themes. The wide variety of props include food rations, survival gear, crafting items, and melee/harvesting tools. Some of the assets contain multiple states like an open and closed tent. These are targeting the desktop, but each prop contains LOD states for performance and mobile support as well.
Are you working on a post-apocalyptic game, or one featuring a lot of abandoned roads? Then check out Werzan's Rusty Road Signs! This features 52 road signs, 5 concrete barriers, and 71 textures at 2k resolution.
Characters and Animations:
Looking for some tough secret agent bad guys to fill with bullets in your shooter game? Have a look at the Agents Character Pack by Batewar! This contains four unique characters that are rigged to Epic's humanoid rig and ready to drop into your game. They can be used as agents, bodyguards, police, mafia, etc. Each character has 2k diffuse\normal\roughness\specular maps connected to a fully customizable material to modify the characters' look. Check out the screenshots above!
Here's an adorable animated deer for your outdoor games! The deer has 57 animations, including 27 full animations, 21 transition animations, 9 additive animations for looking around, and 9 blendspace animations fully set up. This also includes a fully set up ragdoll with constraints. Check out the video!
More cuteness! This little raccoon comes with 62 animations, including 29 full animations, 24 transition animations, and 9 additive animations for looking around. It also includes 9 blendspace animations fully set up, and a ragdoll with constraints. Check out the video!
Music and SFX:
I've yet to find a game that wouldn't be improved by the addition of a cheerful Englishman. To that end, Vigilante Audio has released Character Voice - Peter! This release contains 30+ common phrases in a charming English accent, including the chart-topping hits "Hello," "Good Luck," "Damn it!", and the club favorite "I sense danger." Check out the audio preview!
That's all for this week, everybody! As always, keep your eyes on the public Trello boards to see what's coming up on the Marketplace. Have a productive week!
