Marketplace content release time! We've got amazing dissolving VFX, grunge decals, explosions, modern weapons, a save and load system, futuristic sounds and more! Come check out this week's wares.
The pack contains 5 variants: simple, gradient, planar, cylindrical, and spherical dissolve. The gradient dissolve effect dissolves materials along a gradient (single texture channel, vertex color, world position etc.) which covers the 0-1 range. The planar, cylindrical and spherical variants dissolve the material with the help of geometrical helper objects which can be moved, rotated or scaled (spherical variant does not support scaling in individual axes, cylindrical dissolve does not support elliptical prisms). The masks used in the dissolving process can be textures or procedural. There are also options for position offset, custom border gradient textures, inverting the way the sphere and the cylinder helpers work, limited/infinite sizes for helper objects where applicable. This is an extremely cool pack, and it includes 10 pages of detailed documentation. Check out the video!
Thomas Harle is back with more VFX. This time, he brings us explosions! This pack contains seven explosion effects, including flashbang, grenade, smoke/dust, electrical, electromagnetic pulse (EMP), firey, and fireball. Nice stuff as always. Check out the video!
If you're building a first-person shooter and are looking for a well-rounded weapon pack that's ready to use, look no further! This contains 12 weapons (shotguns, submachine guns, assault rifles, handguns, a knife, and a grenade) optimized for first person shooters. Each comes with an alternate texture and many of the textures support custom color, size, and position. Each weapon is rigged for animation, has FX, are set up with PBR materials, and they look great. Check out a 3D preview of this weapon pack in your browser!
This is a great way to use the engine and the Marketplace! Saving and Loading values is a cornerstone of any game, software or engine. Easy Save & Load is a very simple way to save (String, Float, Int or Bool) within just one node, and load the saved value by one node call as well. It saves time building and duplicating save graphs to give you more productivity and focus on the core game itself. Saving data is essential part of any gameplay experience, but now it is the easiest to handle! Check out the video to see it in action.
C-Media is back with a comprehensive set of containers, crates, pallets, boxes, barrels, drums, storage units, baskets, and buckets. If your game has anything that goes inside anything else, this pack has you completely covered. Check out the video!
Materials \ Textures:
This is a great example of a really useful content pack that can be used infinitely across an entire game to give it texture and character without seeming repetitive. This is a pack of 213 grunge decals that are easily configured with material instances to change the color, roughness, transparency, normal intensity, etc. Most of the base color textures are 1024x1024 or 1024x512, and each has a normal map. Check out the screenshots to see how you can use them, too!
Space Audio Bundle by Evil Mind Entertainment is a really well-designed audio pack for anything you can imagine that's set in space. It contains 179 audio files, 10 original music loops for situations like space exploration, battles, arcade stages, terror, and menus. It also features 23 original ambience loops, 11 FX ambient loops and their 12 instrumental ambient versions, and 146 original SFX for almost any possible space-based situation. This is a really impressive offering, and I encourage you to check out the video to hear what it sounds like!
Does your game feature awesome, futuristic weapons? If you're on the market for audio to fit your function, give Future Weapons Vol.1 a listen! This pack features single shots and automatic fire, reloading ammo, energy blasts, impacts and explosions, and surface hits to give you everything you need to make your weapons feel powerful and real. This pack has two guns, the big gun named "Sad Daddy," which is large and fatal as hell. The other is a midsize automatic blaster named "Tickler," which is quick and deadly. Check out the video to hear them in action!
