Here Are Your 2018 Spring #ue4jam Winners

By Amanda Bott

Game jams are one of the most exciting events our team gets to host. It is an opportunity to see the incredible talent and creativity that our community possesses. The Spring #ue4jam had over 170 submissions produced by over 400 developers in a span of just five days!

The Spring #ue4jam kicked off on May 10th when we announced the theme of the jam: Transformation. From that moment, our social channels buzzed with new game ideas, concept art, and enthusiasm, if not the occasional sleepy post. Many of the jam teams shared their progress via Twitter: candies came to life, a small child faced the challenges of grief, and worlds evolved before our eyes.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed playing through all the games and you can too! They are all available to play on the Spring #ue4jam Itch.io page. I encourage you to take a look as there are a number of excellent games.

That being said, it is always a challenge to select only a few winners, as there were so many wonderful projects. Many congratulations are in order for all those that participated. Ultimately, we selected three finalists and three special category winners, all of whom will be taking home some great prizes from our gracious sponsors. To see our team playthrough the winning titles and discuss our selection, take a look at the Spring #ue4jam results livestream listed below.
