Featured free Unreal Engine Marketplace content—April 2024

Ready for this month’s drop of free content? In partnership with the talented creators over at the Unreal Engine Marketplace, we make a select amount of content free to the UE community each month. Whether you’re an artist, designer, or programmer, you’re sure to find something that piques your interest—and at no extra cost.

Check out this April’s selection below.
Build a cutesy cartoon-style forest village with this pack of 42 simple yet beautiful clay-like props and foliage, including houses, trees, flowers, and Runtime Virtual Texture (RVT) grass. It includes global wind parameters that sway the trees and flowers; a directional light that pans cloud shadows across the scene; and a number of particle effects, including wind trails, chimney smoke, and ambient dust.
You’ll be right as rain with this powerful system to dynamically illuminate 2D and volumetric clouds. Add realistic light sources to your clouds and enhance the mood and atmosphere of your scene. You can tweak a range of parameters to achieve the desired look, including intensity, color, attenuation, and falloff type.
Like stepping straight into the pages of a nineteenth-century horror novel, this unique modular asset pack contains everything you need to build your own mysterious gothic cathedral. Design your own buildings with dimensions fitting your needs or simply copy and paste the pre-made ones from the example level. It comes with 158 individual meshes in total and a large number of fractal-based decor patterns and engravings
Awake the Ancient Golem at your peril. This towering low-poly 3D model will make a fantastic addition to RPG shooters and other fantasy-themed projects. The character’s vertex count clocks in at 60,444 and the model comes with a number of animations to get your golem on the move.
Reclaimed by the forest, this abandoned watermill environment is as eerie as it is beautiful. It comprises 80 unique meshes, including watermill parts, stone pillars, boulders, tree stumps and more, as well as a vast array of materials and textures for fine detailing. These high-quality assets come optimized ready for use in your projects and come with four levels of detail (LODs).
