Explore new worlds with the 2020 Unreal Spring Jam winners

Amanda Schade
From stabilizing topsy-turvy islands and playing hide-and-seek with farm animals to gliding through desert landscapes and escaping from inside a TV, jammers showcased incredible creativity and unique experiences in the games of the 2020 Unreal Spring Jam. Over 500 developers joined the five-day event, resulting in over 270 thrilling submissions.
Equipped with the theme “What is hidden in snow comes forth in the thaw,” jammers set off to build their games and began revealing project prototypes in no time. Once the deadline arrived, the judges began their review, while community developer and AnswerHub contributor extraordinaire Shadowriver streamed all the Unreal Spring Jam titles on Twitch.UnrealSpringJam Collage
The Unreal Jams wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors: Falcon Northwest, Assembla, Dekogon, GameTextures.com, Synty Studios, Velarion, Tala Esenlikler, SB, SideFX, Mocap Studios, Plan B Studios, and Whole Tomato.
After solving spring-themed puzzles, painting flowers in VR, and blasting off to remote planets, we’d like to offer up a hearty congratulations to all the jammers—it’s not easy making games and you all created fantastic experiences in just a matter of days. Bravo!
