It’s about to get creepy with an all-new Unreal Challenge! In May, we hosted our first-ever Unreal Challenge, and the community did not disappoint—we received more than 450 fantastic entries to Unreal Challenge: Better Light Than Never.
For this challenge, we encourage you to create a short video showcasing your world-building abilities, including level design and environment design, pulling inspiration or guidance from the Creep It Real theme. Build up a scene, leveraging available Marketplace products, KitBash3D's provided content, or anything else you've stashed away in your Vault, then concoct a creation that would make even Dr. Frankenstein envious!
Ready to create something new? Learn about the challenge below.
The challenge
Starting now, you have four weeks to create a video entry inspired by the theme, Creep It Real, which must be submitted by October 29, 2022 at 11:59 PM EDT. The Grand Prize winner will receive $1,000 cash plus prizes from KitBash3D, Sketchfab, ArtStation and fancy swag; first- and second-place runner ups will also receive prizes.
Like the previous challenge, we’re splitting up the event into two groups: the Unreal Challenge will award individuals overall, and specifically recognize outstanding students or new developers.
To qualify as a student, you would need to be enrolled in higher education, in a full-time or part-time course.
Rules and submissions
To enter the competition, create a video that highlights the challenge theme, Creep It Real. Here’s how to submit:
Create a video using Unreal Engine, without any additional software or post-production tools. You may use premade assets, but be sure to credit the sources of these assets.
The video must be between 10 and 60 seconds long, with a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080.
