About the workshop

Secondary (Grades 6-12) school teachers accepted to the program will learn how to integrate Epic tools into their classroom. Throughout the week, educators will learn about Unreal Engine and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). The primary focus will be helping educators prepare students for the Unreal Engine 3D Fundamentals Certification.

By the end of the workshop participants will:
  • Understand the concept and possible applications of Interactive 3D 
  • Feel comfortable navigating 3D environments
  • Be able to move, rotate, and scale objects in a 3D space
  • Understand how select tools can be integrated into classroom projects
  • Create a simple game using Unreal Engine
  • Understand the concept of key-frame animation
  • Feel comfortable guiding students through learning activities based in interactive 3D
The Summer 2026 Epic Educator Accelerator will run from July 27-31 from 10am to 5pm ET each day. Participation in the entire week is a requirement for participation.
